AIC's 2019 Annual Meeting - Call for Papers

Dear Colleagues,

The online abstract portal is now open for AIC's 2019 meeting. In addition to our usual specialty-group sessions, we have a few special calls for papers. First, our opening session will feature idea-focused, TED-style talks on the theme of "Advance and Inspire." You can find the description here (scroll down a little bit to see it):

To inspire you, I've linked two sample TED talks below (one by Will Noel, and one by Debra Hess Norris). Although these do not necessarily address our "Advance and Inspire" theme, they give a good idea of what TED talks are like and show that conservation-y topics can be a good fit. Please check out the call for submissions at the link above and encourage an inspiring speaker you know to submit for this session. Maybe that speaker is you!

Last, but definitely not least, we have calls for four topic-focused sessions. These were proposed by AIC members during our earlier call for sessions, and they focus on: multi-disciplinary contemporary art conservation, gels, imaging, and making technical research work in low-tech settings. You can read more about them here:

Best wishes, and I look forward to hearing your great talks in 2019!
